Hi everyone sorry this is a little late but i haven't had much free time lately. Anyway here is my reflection on the Mozambique part of the Africa trip.
When my parents first told me of their 2 month African Adventure i was both excited for them and dissappointed that i would not be able to travel with them due to school. However, i am so grateful that i did get the chance to take their first couple of steps into Africa by travelling through Mozam.
Mozambique is amazing, it is so beautiful and has such a friendly and energetic vibe. I found that it was nothing like i expected it to be but i was definately pleasantly surprised! The places are so amazing as well as all the people! they are so friendly and interesting. Once you are friendly and smiley towards them they focus more on giving you advice or having a friendly conversation with you rather than selling you seafood or cashew nut (which we couldn't seem to resist!).
An all time favorite of mine was sitting at a little cafe having a cold drink with my family, talking about what we wanted to do the next day. It was such an awesome way to suck it all in. And it was so breath taking to do it with a view of a torquious sea. This trip was definately one of my best family holidays (sorry meg) and i will always have amazing memories of the people i met and the places i saw. And i will always remember the fun times i had in my two favorite places, Tofo and Vilankulos. It was all just so special to me!
However, all good times must come to an end and i will always feel it was worth the trip and hope my parent find more places that were as special as Mozambique on the road ahead!
Muito obrigardo familia!
Peace out
