The saddest day of our trip so far as we had to say goodbye to Michelle. After a lengthly good-bye, with lots of tears and hugs, at the airport we sullenly went to find somewhere to sleep. Like most of the major cities we drove through, Beira is a poor reflection of Mozambique's former glory. Run down in most areas with a few developments here and there. After a visit to Beira's Shoprite for a stock-up on goods we all seemed ready for the long-haul to Malawi.

We crossed the Zambeze River on the way to Beira. The 7km bridge that has just been built was awesome!
The beach outside our hotel in Beira. Mark and Leigh ran here!
