By the time we had packed up tent and left the dusty game reserve we were all excited to get to Lake Malawi. Our first stop is on the southern tip of the Lake and probably the most famous area for backpackers. We chose a very nice backpacker lodge called Fat Monkey's which is situated right on the lake Shore. A fantastic veiw of the water is accompanied by a viby bar and friendly faces. the first day was spent doing as little as possible as we were all in need of some 'time out' after a hard week of driving.
Hi Mark, Lindsey & Leigh, Ewan & I are back in UK and looking forward to returning to Malawi next year. Really nice meeting you guys and great to see some of your pics on the blog - seems you are having a fantastic journey - I hope it continues to be fun.
